Article: Frankfurt, the city of skyscrapers in Europe

Frankfurt, la ciudad de los rascacielos en Europa

Frankfurt, the city of skyscrapers in Europe

If you've dreamed of going to New York but only have two days to travel, head to Frankfurt , Germany. It's the perfect city for a dreamy getaway and it's very close to Spain. It's not usually on our travel bucket list, but rather other German destinations like Berlin or Munich. However, from now on, you have to consider visiting Frankfurt because it's incredible. When we decided to travel there and write a post about it, we wanted to show you how you can create fun, comfortable travel outfits with our clothes. We spent four days exploring Frankfurt and some of the surrounding medieval towns.

Why do we call Frankfurt the skyscraper city of Europe?

Frankfurt has become the "Little Manhattan of Europe," according to the College of Architects of Catalonia. After World War II, the city sought to rebuild itself by implementing modernism and conveying a sense of freedom through high-rise buildings. Meanwhile, other parts of Germany opted to maintain their original character to preserve their charm. The new Frankfurt boasts over 30 skyscrapers surrounding the city, along with the headquarters of the European Central Bank .

This is a view from the river, where you can stroll for hours, taking in the entire city. One of the buildings, specifically the Main Tower , has an observation deck on the 54th floor offering panoramic views. It costs €7.50, and from there you can see all of Frankfurt from above. The Römerberg district is like a small part of Frankfurt's historic center, where you can see medieval buildings and typical Central European houses, distinctive museums, the City Hall, and the Cathedral. We also want to highlight the magic of its Christmas markets; there are about five or six scattered throughout the city center and a few more in the surrounding villages. If you're already in the Christmas spirit and approaching it with enthusiasm, you'll feel like you're in a fairytale.

During our stay, it wasn't cold at all; we were very lucky. We chose a pair of overalls that had just arrived at the store in dark gray, mustard, and burgundy.

The dungarees are made from a peach-skin fabric that's lightweight and incredibly soft. They feature two back pockets and two buttons down the side, giving them a youthful look. The basic gray t-shirt, with its black rooster print, is perfect for any outfit.
